SAISA Coed Champs: Richard Tillman Trophy

Summary

Saturday, April 18:

Race 1A was sailed in a 6 knot south wind. We started 2A in a 4 knot south wind that slowly faded as the race continued. When B division arrived to the racing area the wind faded completely. Sailors returned to the basin, and upon their arrival, a very steady west wind filed at 8-10 knots. After the completion of 6B the wind shifted to the North West and became a bit shiftier but at the same velocity. The course was adjusted & 7 & 8 A were completed to wrap up the day. All races sailed were W4's. One protest was filled and disallowed and we had no breakdowns.

Sunday, April 19:

We had another beautiful day of sailing on Boca Ciega Bay. Races 8B though 10A were sailed in a steady 6 knot North West wind. After 10A the course was adjusted for the shiftier West wind. We sailed W4's and W3's until the wind increased to 8-12 knots. We then sailed W5's for the second race of the final two sets. One protest was filed resulting in a DSQ and we had no breakdowns. Temps were down with the highs in the low 80's and we had one manatee sighting and several dolphins in the racing area. Congratulations to Charleston and Jacksonville for securing a berth to the College sailing National Semi-Finals. Go SAISA

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
