NEISA Women's Fleet Race Championship -Reed Trophy

Summary

Saturday, April 18:

Sailing began in a light 5-6 kts northeasterly breeze with substantial cross current. One race in each division was completed before the breeze became unstable and racing had to be paused. An unexpected south westerly breeze filled in between 5-9 kts allowing for 7 more races per division to be finished. One protest was filed resulting in a DSQ. Thank you to our two Judges Moose McClintock and Bob Austin-LaFrance.

Sunday, April 19:

Racing began in a light northerly that progressively increased in velocity. Racing concluded when the breeze reached 30 kts with numerous capsizes. 4 races in each division were completed with 3 protests filed resulting in a DSQ. Congratulations to Yale University for winning the 2026 Reed Trophy! Yale and Brown Universities have earned an automatic qualification to women’s fleet race nationals. Thank you to our judges and CGA Sailing Team for Race Committee and regatta operations.
