The first day of the Navy Women's and ILCA South was sailed in a 5-10 knot SE breeze in the mouth of the Severn River. All races were W4s. One BKD was granted for a broken ILCA top section in race 5. Thanks to Pete Fanta for on the water judging all day.
On Sunday, the fleet launched in a light westerly, but that wind never got strong enough to race in. After a while waiting on the water, a 4-5 knot northerly filled that allowed for 2 ILCA races and one FJ race before dying during the 2nd FJ race which was abandoned. An easterly filled next which got as high at 8 knots and allowed for 2 more races to be sailed. One BKD was awarded in the ILCA Fleet for a tiller extension universal that broke inside the tube in a place that could not be inspected ahead of time.
