Sailors arrived at Hodson Boathouse to beautiful weather. Racing began in 7-10kts from the south, with an ebb tide running across the course. Th first race was abandoned to reset the course, the wind settled in with a slight oscillation. These tricky conditions continued until the fleet took a short break after 6 races. 3 protests were filed during the break, but all 3 were ruled invalid. The final 4 races were completed as the tide switched and wind dropped.
Congratulations to Princeton 1 for their overall 1st place finish in a combined fleet. Washington College finished 2nd, with Imogene Nuss and Sabi Fintel holding first in fleet, and Princeton 2, University of Delaware, and University of Maryland Baltimore County rounding out the fleet.
Thank you to each team for a great day of racing. And thank you to Washington College sailors, Ethan Rower and Abby Wyman, for their work on the RC.
