St. Mary's Women's Inter-Conference

Summary

Saturday, March 15:

The morning was dominated by lots of fog and not much wind. At noon, a light southerly filled allowing two races in each division. After an extended postponement and the sun burned off the cloud cover, an East / NE filled enough to eek out two more races in 3-5 knots. PRO, Jamie Gilman, did a fabulous job racing when there was breeze and showing patience to not race in the more trying conditions. The Hoyas are off to a very impressive early lead!

Sunday, March 16:

Great day of racing on the St. Mary's River with Southeast breezes in the teens and comfortable warm temps hovering at 60. 8 races were sailed in each division W-4's and W-3's. No breakdowns and no protests filed despite several filed on the water.

Thanks so much to Thomas Walker, Fletcher Sims, Eliot Caple for serving as on the water judges and to Jamie Gilman as PRO with much help from the Seahawks to keep racing efficient and fair for all.

Georgetown continued their domination from Saturday to take home the win.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
