Saturday racing completed 12 races, 6 for A division and 6 for B, in the Mark Healy Open Fleet Championship. The day began with a steady south-westerly breeze and fairly flat water. Rotated through 2 races for A and then 2 for B. The wind continued building as the day went on from 7-8 knots to a maximum of 12-15 knots (with gusts up to 20) in early afternoon. We got our last start off at about 5:30 and headed back to the dock. No general recalls all day, and only one protest and 3 redresses due to minor breakdowns. Great conditions allowed us to have some very competitive 20-minute races with good separation of the fleet. Overall, Keller Cove provided strong, steady breeze and a great day of racing to kick off the weekend.
Day two of the PCCSC Mark Healy Open Fleet Race Championship started with very light and inconsistent winds. We attempted to move the start time up to 10:30 and eventually got our first start off at 11:00 in a light south-westerly breeze, which shut off after the first weather leg. Thus, we abandoned that race and postponed until the wind began to fill in more consistently around 12:30. We got 2 A division races completed in a 5-7 knot southerly breeze, which filled in steadily for our 2 B division races that finished shortly before the 15:00 cut-off time. As luck would have it, we had the first general recall on our very last race (8B), and on the second start, there still were 2 boats OCS. We were still able to complete 2 W4 races for B division in 6-10 knots of steady breeze.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
