Seneca greeted sailors with cloudy skies, steady drizzle, and temperatures in the 40s. Winds were out of the NNW all day and ranged from 4-14 knots. 57 races were completed, 56 races to complete the first round and a resail of race 53, awarded for umpire interference. Race 53 was between HWS and ODU. HWS won both the original race and the resail. Huge thanks to Chief Umpire Doc Sullivan and his team of Jeff Sullivan, Katie Nicole, Bailey Carter, Will Murray, Heather Kerns, Kyle Easton, Clark Uhl, and Tess Weber, for keeping the racing within the rules. Additional thanks to the HWS Sailors helping out on the water who braved the wet and cold conditions to deliver 57 races.
Seneca welcomed sailors with winds out of the NW at 8-22 knots, sunny skies, and temps climbing into the high 50s. 28 races were sailed to complete the third and final round, completing the intended format of a triple round robin. The event came down to the last race with Georgetown and Cornell racing for the win. Congratulations to Cornell University for winning the 2025 MAISA Women's Team Race Championship! Again huge thanks to Chief Umpire Doc Sullivan and his team of Jeff Sullivan, Katie Nicole, Bailey Carter, Will Murray, Heather Kerns, Kyle Easton, Clark Uhl, and Tess Weber, for keeping the racing within the rules. Thanks to the HWS Sailors helping out on the water who helped deliver another great 28 races to complete the third round robin.
