Day 1 of the Duckling Regatta at Fern Ridge Reservoir, hosted by the University of Oregon, welcomed sailors from Gonzaga, WWU, and OSU. The steady north/northwest breeze of around 6 knots with gusts up to 11 provided ideal conditions for tight racing. Clear skies and mild temperatures added to the enjoyment, with teams navigating the occasional puff with skill. A total of 6 rotations were completed in each division before racing concluded for the day.
Day 2 saw an uptick in intensity as the north/northwest breeze strengthened to 8-10 knots, with gusts reaching 18 knots. The stronger winds and choppier water tested the sailors’ boat-handling and tactical decision-making. Despite the added challenge, the fleet completed another 6 rotations in each division under sunny skies, capping off an exciting weekend of racing.
A huge thank you to all the teams for bringing their energy and competitiveness to Fern Ridge. It was a fantastic regatta!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
