The day started with clearing 6 inches of fresh snow. A tough day for racing on Harpswell Sound. Breeze started strong out of the Northeast around 15 knots but diminished rapidy as the day progressed. We moved to our outer course location and completed the first round robin.
10:30 AM report time on Sunday so we can deal with snow and ice in the morning. The plan is to complete the second round robin followed by any sail offs. Thank you to our judges Emi Ruth and Sawyer Balint. Thank you to the Bowdoin undergrads on the start and finish boats as well as Louis Frumer and Sam Lloyd. Everyone froze their butts off today.
Another tough day on Harpswell Sound. Round two was completed in a light north easterly breeze with uphill current. A big thank you to the Bowdoin undergrads on the start/finish boats and helping deal with boats on the docks, Louis Frumer and Sam Lloyd for their duties on the start and finish boats, and Emi Ruth and Sawyer Balint for serving as umpires. Congrats to Bowdoin and Coast Guard for qualifying for the Legler Trophy at Brown in two weeks.
