The opening day of SCOR 2025 brought classic Charleston Harbor conditions, challenging sailors with shifting winds and strong currents.
The second and final day of SCOR 2025 delivered another round of competitive racing in classic Charleston conditions. The morning began with a 10-18 knot WSW breeze, providing a solid start for the first two races. As the day progressed, the outgoing tide gradually switched mid-day, creating tactical challenges that rewarded teams with strong current awareness and strategic positioning. The final race of the regatta was a distance race across the harbor, incorporating government marks and requiring crews to adapt to longer legs. The racing was tight across all divisions, with multiple lead changes and competitive mark roundings, making for an exciting conclusion to the event.
The University of Rhode Island secured victory in the PHRF-A fleet with consistent finishes throughout the weekend. North Carolina State claimed the PHRF-B title after a tiebreaker with Georgia Tech, highlighting their steady performance. In the one-design fleets, Boston University’s Terriers came out on top in the J/105 class, and The Ohio State Buckeyes finished first in J’22s. Demonstrating strong tactical decision-making in the shifting conditions. With another successful SCOR in the books, teams can reflect on a weekend of challenging, high-level competition in Charleston Harbor. Congratulations to all competitors, and a special thanks to The College of Charleston and the race committee for their efforts in delivering a well-run regatta. Issued by the SCOR 2025 Race Committee

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
