Five teams participated in the inaugural SAISA South open team race on Saturday. Racing began in a very light 4-6 knot easterly, which completely shut off, as predicted. Sailors came in for a lunch break half-way through round 1 and waited for the seabreeze to arrive.
A southwest 6-8 knot seabreeze filled in, and the remaining round 1 races were completed as well a full round 2 rotation.
Congratulations to Jacksonville University, winning with a perfect 8-0 record, followed by Rollins with a 5-3 record and University of Miami at 4-4.
