2 rounds were completed in challenging shifty conditions. Wind shifted 270 degrees throughout the day and RC was put to work keeping everything square. On and off rain made for damp sailing, but it eventually cleared up and racing concluded by 5pm
1 round was completed in a light NE breeze. As the day progressed, the breeze became patchy and shifty, resulting in numerous races being called back and re-started. The third round was completed around noon with UPenn taking the victory with a 13-2 record, with Georgetown at 12*-3 and ODU at 10-5.
Huge thanks to our umpire team with CHUmp Christine Accetella with help from Vicki Sodaro, Steve Sparkman, Jerry Thompson, Anna Patterson, Carter Little and Brendan Wilkins. Norfolk Yacht and Country Club provided support with some umpire boats and many thanks to them for that. Of note, both days we encouraged subs to ride along with umpires to help with flags. Volunteers from Georgetown and ODU rode along with umpires and had a positive experience.
*Note:
Race #45 between Georgetown and SMC was sailed but was accidentally not entered into TechScore. Georgetown won bringing their record to 12-3, and SMC's record to 4-11
