Teams arrived at Historic Arnold's Bay to a consistent and strong south wind, building from 12kts upon arrival to gusts near 20kts by the middle of the day. Fleets sailed one rotation of 3 races followed by a brief break around 2:30 before returning to the water for one final race each. The heavy winds lead to some capsizes, mostly around the windward end of the course, and hit B fleet particularly hard in the middle of the day, after which the gusts moderated somewhat.
Congrats to the Dartmouth and UVM teams for their strong performances and to all competitors for sailing clean races and enduring the rugged Lake Champlain spring weather.
Particular thanks to Middlebury organizers, grillcooks, and on-water crews, many of whom both competed and helped during off rotations to ensure a successful event. Talia and Dalyan, who suited up to help right capsized boats in cold water, deserve huge thanks.
And congrats to Middlebury seniors Will Procter and Christopher Fridlington in their final collegiate home regatta!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
