It was a chilly and overcast day for the second annual Franny Charles trophy. Wind was generally from the SE with the occasional southerly shift. The first two rounds were sailed in 4-7 knots and after a 30 minute break, the second two rounds were sailed in 7-10 knots from the SE.
This trophy honors MIT's 4th sailing master Franny Charles. Franny retired from MIT in June after 30 years. Under Fran's leadership, the MIT Sailing program has flourished in many ways. Franny led the program with creativity, passion and enthusiasm for new ideas.
No protests were filed. Congrats to MIT for winning the 2nd Franny Charles Trophy.
