Nine teams battled rainy, fluky and puffy conditions on the Thames River today. The Southeast wind ranged from 6-18 knots with unpredictable shifts and puffs throughout each leg. Scores are tight headed into day two, with the Rams in 3rd after a strong finish to the day, CGA Bears 2 in 2nd place and CGA Bears 1 in first place.
Day two began with a long wind-chill and wind delay until mid-day when the breeze laid down a few knots and temps warmed to the low 40's. Reefs were put into the J70 mains with race 7 & 8 sailed without kites in a 15-28 knot Northerly and 3 knots of ebbing current. Race 9 saw the breeze lay down further and the final race was sailed with kites and reefed mains. Bears 1 took the day and the regatta with a 1-1-5 score line. Rams continued their upward surge finishing 2nd overall and the Cougars were able to get back on track and finish 3rd overall. Congrats to all competitors and thanks for making the trip!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
