Closing out Women's History Month with a gorgeous day on the Mt. Hope Bay for the second annual NEISA Women's qualifier for the qualifier, newly renamed the Callahan Trophy Team Race. Shifty, puffy westerly winds kept sailors on their toes. 3 round robins were sailed.
Many thanks to our umpires: ChUmp John Mooney, Scott Booth, George Higham, and Bob Austin LaFrance. Also we appreciate John Mooney and Joakim Karlsen for lending their boats for the umpires. Cal Robbins '22 did a masterful job on the Race Committee while Caylin Schnoor '25, Maggie Fleming '27, and Katy Benagh '24 called the finish.
This regatta is named after RWU coach Amanda Callahan who started the first women's dinghy team race, the Chix Only, exactly 20 years ago.
Congrats to Tufts and Roger Williams for earning berths to the NEISA Women's Team Racing Championship for the Legler Trophy.
