The area experienced record breaking rain fall with thunderstorms over night and into the morning with winds sustained at 20+ kts and gusts into the low 40kt range and racing ended up being can cancelled for the day.
Sunday greeted the 7-Team fleet with WNW winds that ranged from 7-23kts throughout the day. After the record breaking rain fall amounts on Saturday, the ebb tide was intensified to 4+ kts. We were able to complete a single round robin and then gave the fleet a bathroom and lunch break. Once the fleet returned to racing, we completed a top 4 round robin and a bottom 3 round robin. In the end, it came down to the final race where Stanford was able to get the best of Coast Guard to win the regatta. Final results: 1. Stanford 8-1 2. Coast Guard 7-2 3. Charleston 5-4 4. Harvard 4-4 5. Jacksonville 3-6 6. NC State 2-6 7. Miami 1-7
A huge thanks to PRO Chip Till and Chief Umpire Jeff Woodard and their Teams for another great regatta.
