Saturday started with a local north wind, course was set, but wind decided to shift 180' and come from the south. a short delay with the start of the event resulted with 11:20 start time. RC ran perfect races averaging 12 min a race. We completed 33 races (full round and a half). The day was concluded at 5.25pm with a small storm just to the south of us. Penn was the leader after day 1.
The second day of the championship was a fantastic day with south flow from the beginning. RC was all set for 10AM sharp start and completed round 2 after an hour and 15 min. The event rolled into the 3rd round where at the end Cornell took the victory on their home waters.
As the host school, we want to thank all the competitors & coaches who participated and assisted with quick rotations and good sportsmanship. Also, a huge thank you to all the race officials, Umpires, and volunteers who made the commute to Cornell and helped us run a successful regatta.
Good luck to everyone in the remaining of the season and safe travel home.
