Competitors arrived to a nice 10 knot easterly breeze at the 2023 Jen Harris Team Race. Then, the fleet launched, the rain started and the wind died. We kept trying to race all day and ended up completing 9 races in light winds from the E, SE, S, W, NW and N with occasional showers. After a lengthy delay with no wind in the afternoon, racing was called for the day at 1600.
Sunday was a much better day for sailing in Annapolis. It was sunny with temperatures in the 60s. Winds were from the NW, puffy and shifty. Racing began on time and continued without delay through the first round robin. Unfortunately, there was not sufficient time to do a second round, so we instead did a final four. A huge thanks to ChUmp Sandy Grosvenor and her team of Margaret Podlich, Bell Carty, Carol Robinson and Gwynie Dunlevy. Congratulations to the Tulane Green Wave for the win.
