St. Mary's Team Race InterConference

With a major front bearing down upon the East Coast, the regatta management team arrived at the River Center greeted by thunder and lightning. After a one hour shore postponement, the first wave of the front brought an increase in breeze into the mid 20's and a significant drop of temperature. As the forecast prediction was for increasing winds and lower temperatures, the decision was made to cancel the day and try again Sunday.

Beautiful day of team racing! Started out a tad chilly, but warmed up throughout the day. Breeze started from the Northwest and swung around to the South by the end of racing. One round robin was completed that resulted in two, three-way ties. The ties were broken by sail-offs. There was one request for redress that was denied. PRO Josh Paper did an excellent job keeping up with the moving breeze. Thanks to Mike O'Connor for serving as ICSA Rep.
