A fabulous windy day on the St. Mary's River to kick off the first women's interconference team race. 61 races completed by the Seahawks Max Kleha, Lily Newman, Lucas Masiello and Ben Chitterling including a four way sail off for the final spots in the gold round. Great mix of senior umpires and recent college graduates (all women) to keep the game fair. Thanks to all the coaches & teams for keeping the rotations moving on the docks. Breeze kicked up into the mid thirties within minutes of the last boat put away for the night. Unfortunately, Yale had to drop out Friday evening due to an injury.
Another beautiful day of sailing. Gold 6 and Silver 5 were completed. Final 4 started around 1:30 and a winner declared by 2:30. Congratulations to MIT on the win! Thanks to the Seahawks, led by Max Kleha, for keeping the racing moving and marks in the right places. An awesome group of umpires fed off the enthusiasm of the sailors for fabulous camaraderie.
