Summary

Saturday, April 2:

The day started with a moderate breeze that was eventually overpowered by an aggressive Carquinez flood. After watching the fleet going sideways, there was a short postponement for the tide to switch. The fleet returned for one rotation, another was attempted before the wind faded out. Much better conditions are forecast for tomorrow. B fleet will be first out.

Sunday, April 3:

Better wind prevailed early today. Four races were completed in two hours before the Carquinez current came in with a vengeance and slowed everything down. Two more races were completed against a strong flood to finish the rotation, as the wind built to allow SOG against the tide.

Thank you to Mike Holden and the visiting coaches for assisting with marks, and Grillmaster Brock Paquin for keeping everyone fed.

There are still open berths for the Keelhauler Open April 16-17. No entry or charter fees.
