Teams made their way across Harpswell Sound to the mouth of the cove. After the first few races, current started flowing out and established itself as an important factor on the racecourse. A nice southerly breeze held for most of the day with a few shifts and then reducing for the last set. The rain held off for most of the racing with a few drizzly spots. All races were W-4 courses. A division was able to complete 10 races in FJs while B division completed 8 in 420s.
Thank you to Emily Gonzalez '20 and Tom Peabody '14 who helped run races along with Aidan Michelow '25. Thank you to Sam Jones and Louis Frumer '18 who judged on the water before hearing a breakdown at the end of the day. The breakdown was not granted. Also, thank you to Greg Wilkinson for being NEISA Rep.

Easter Sunday started off with a shifty westerly. The first half of races were raced in the same location as Saturday, the cove. Several massive lefties encouraged the race committee to move the course to Dipper Cove. With the new race course, cross current switched from a factor at the starts to a significant factor at the top half of the racecourse. The i flag was up all day with several boats being over early.
Thank you to Doc Sullivan for zooming in for additional protest hearing support. Before awards could be presented, 3 protests were heard.
The regatta ran smoothly thanks to several Bowdoin undergraduates helping on shore. A big thank you to Dartmouth for bringing a coach boat and to Northeastern for providing a starting box.
Congratulations to Dartmouth and Yale for securing their automatic berth’s to Women’s Fleet Race Nationals at Tulane! The rest of the berths will be announced May 3rd.
