The teams arrived to a windy morning. Everyone braved the wind and headed out to the course, but the race that was started was quickly abandoned as the pressure built to 25 knots and rescues were needed. The teams headed to shore for a much-needed break and pasta dinner turned into a pasta lunch thanks to a quick turnaround from our kitchen volunteers.
Pancake breakfast was served at 0830 thanks to our dedicated kitchen crew. The wind was thankfully much tamer than Saturday, allowing for the race committee to set a course and finally get the regatta underway. 4 races were completed in each division, and as the wind built past 20 knots later in the day racing was stopped early. Congratulations to UCSB on the regatta win and a huge thank you to all the teams that made this Mustang Open happen after a 2 year hiatus.
A huge thank you to all of the Morro Bay Yacht Club members and the Cal Poly alumni that dedicated their time and energy to running races and safety boats, the regatta could not have happened without their hard work and commitment to Cal Poly Sailing. We hope to see everyone again next year with hopefully more workable conditions (and less capsizes).

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
