Teams arrived to stormy skies that saw a lengthy delay until 11:00am, after which everyone was able to launch and get to the race course for the first race at 12:15pm.
A nice 8-13 knot NE breeze made for great racing. As the skies gradually cleared, the breeze tapered down do around a 6 knot average.
The RC managed to get two full rounds in and finished up around 5:30pm.
After day 1 the Tulane Coed leads, followed by the Tulane Women’s team, with the Jacksonville Fins rounding out the podium.
What a beautiful day on the Pontch! Cloudless skies and an 8-12 knot NE breeze greeted the teams. Racing got underway promptly at 10:00am.
After Round 3 was completed, we paused for a brief bathroom break before finishing our Round 4.
Round 4 was held mostly in a dying breeze that shifted gradually to the east but held on enough for the last race to finish at 2:45pm.
Thanks to the teams that traveled here for the weekend, and a huge thank you to the Tulane squad for running a solid regatta.
Congrats to the Green Wave on the win, as well as the Green Wave Women and Jacksonville Fins for their podium finishes on the weekend.
