Cal Team Race

Competitors got a late start on Saturday due to the light wind conditions. However, they enjoyed an informative chalk talk with umpires Rob Overton, Paul Zupan, Vicki Sodaro, and Bryan MacDonald during postponement. Once the westerly filled in around 2:30, PRO Paul Heineken was able to get off 16 races in about 2 hours, allowing us to complete most of a round robin.

Competitors enjoyed another umpire debrief in the morning while waiting for the wind to fill. Once the northwesterly breeze was strong enough to start racing, we finished the round robin and moved into our top 4. The day finished nice and early, around 2:00, with plenty of time for everyone to get home in time for the Super Bowl.
