A weak northerly, westerly, southwesterly and everything in between made for a frustrating day on the Charles River. The oldest trophy in college sailing is looking forward to better racing on Sunday. Kevin Coakley and Mike Kalin made their arms longer by dragging buoys all around the basin. Cori Radtke from Bowdoin volunteered to be our ICSA rep to keep the peanut gallery in line. Lucy Charles assisted as the principal dog officer on the signal boat.
Racing was abandoned for the day at 345pm which instantly made the seabreeze magically fill in at 8-10 knots...
A nice east wind at 8-10 eventually faded as clouds moved over and blocked the sun. Breeze got lighter and lighter and almost fully expired by the last A Division race. The Roger Williams Hawks put in a dominating performance with their squad of sailors- Spencer Cartwright '22, Molly Matthews '23, Aidan Hoogland '24, Rachel Holick '22, Mathieu Dale '25, and Annika Irene '23. The Haweks won both A and B Divisions while Bowdoin College's Christopher Lukens '23 and 1 Timmy Gee '25 took C Division honors. The Harvard Crimson, who were co-hosts, put in a fantastic effort to finish second overall.
Many thanks to MIT alumnus Trevor Long who helped out with finishes along with Harvard alumnus Kevin Coakley. Cori Radtke handled ICSA duties while Wally Corwin made sure the dock was covered for quick fixes on boats between sets. Mike Kalin tweaked buoys and Miss Lucinda kept the racing moving with snappy starts.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
