A beautiful day on Narragansett Bay, a solid 15-20 knot northerly that abated over the day as the breeze backed to WNW. Current played a big part on the day, with a change in direction halfway through the day changing tactics. Jacksonville's Charlotte Rose held off Stanford's Christina Sakellaris for a 3 point lead at the end of the day.
A typical Newport SW sea breeze at 15-20 greeted the fleet when they got to the course. The two leaders sailed a fantastic series with Stanford winning the first three races of the day while Jacksonville was second in each to tie the series.. The tables reversed for the last three races and Charlotte Rose was able to maintain her 3 point lead from Day 1 to win the series.
