In Dartmouth's only regatta of the year, winds were awful. We had summer heat and a fitful West wind that at one point was right of North but mostly calm with "gusts" to four knots. Racing didn't start until nearly 1400, 17 races were completed, enough for a complete round-robin. Two of six races were sailed in the final four, which were deleted since the round was not complete. New England champs Roger Williams and nationals qualifier Tufts beat Dartmouth but not by much. They showed they can compete and will be strong next year for sure. Second teams from all were also competitive but not quite ready for the level set by the first teams.
