Day 1 of the 2021 Gill Coed College Sailing National Championship saw sunny skies, temperatures in the mid 80s and a SSE breeze ranging from 8-12 kts. PRO Steve Podlich and his team of Midshipmen set a course in the mouth of the Severn River and were able to complete 12 W4 races in each division over the course of the day with only one small break for lunch. No protests were filed. The fleet gets back on the water tomorrow morning at 1000 for the remaining 6 races per division.
Day two of the 2021 College Sailing Coed National Championship started out with light shifty winds from the south west. Races slowly started to roll off as the breeze filled in, building to twelve knots by the end of the day. Racing was tight across the board with several overall positions not getting finalized until the final race of the regatta. A huge thank you to all of our volunteers and supporting venues: Georgetown University, Severn Sailing Association, Eastport Yacht Club, PRO Steve Podlich, Chief Judge Jeff Borland and his team of Judges, Ric Crabbe, Brian Robinson, and Bill Cook and of course the whole Navy Sailing team of Midshipmen who worked behind the scenes to pull off the most complicated college nationals in the history of ICSA. Congratulations to Navy for winning their second National Championship of the year!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
