The first day of Navy of Navy Spring Women's started out cold and windy with temperatures in the high 30s and wind out of the NNW at 20-28 knots. We started out using only 420sand the fleets took turns racing. The wind dropped a bit as the day warmed up and we were able to get the FJs out for races 7 and 8 A. The flood current picked up during the afternoon, causing a number of general recalls, but PRO Steve Podlich and his RC team did a great job getting 8 races off per division. Thanks to Dina Kowalyshyn, Jason Smithwick and Scott Ikle for hearing a protest which resulted in a DSQ.
Sunday started out with a postponement ashore as we waited for wind. At 11:15, the breeze started to fill from the SW and we sent the fleet out. Just before 12:00, the wind shifted S and filled in at 8-12 knots and we had beautiful sailing for the rest of the day, finishing all 14 races just before 3:00. Thanks to Johnny Norfleet, Conner Blouin, Mark Bennett, Brian Swingly and Scott Ikle for hearing protests, which resulted in 2 DSQs and 1 RAF. Congratulations to the Charleston Cougars for the win.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
