Sailors were greeted with sunny skies and great breeze. We saw a shifty and puffy NNW breeze ranging from 8-15 knots with some puffs even greater than that. We completed 16 races total, 8 in each division on W-4 and W-5 courses and a W-3 to end the day. Several protests were filed resulting in 1 DSQ and 2 breakdowns were awarded. Huge thanks to Evan Cooke from BC for serving as the ICSA rep and assisting in the protest hearings. Also thank you to the Eckerd Triton undergrads for running some great racing!
Sunday's racing brought lighter breeze from the NE ranging from 4-10 knots. We were able to complete 8 races (4 in each division). An attempt for a final 1 and 1 set was made, but the wind died off before that was possible. It was a weekend full of protests, with 3 more filed and heard today resulting in 1 DSQ. Thank you again to Evan Cooke from BC for assisting with the protest hearings and fantastic work by the Eckerd Tritons for putting on a great regatta. Congrats to the BC Eagles on their dominant victory performance!
