Cold temperatures and shifty winds from the north greeted the teams Saturday morning. The race course was set just off of the Hodson Boathouse and the sailors quickly learned to account for the heavy tidal current running out of the Chester. 4 races were completed before a short postponement brought everyone ashore just after lunch time. When the wind settled in from the west and the tide turned, racing resumed. We were able to complete the full 3 rounds of the regatta by the end of the day with Fordham edging out Navy and Pennsylvania for the lead. Thank you to all the teams whole traveled to Chestertown this weekend. Congratulations, Fordham for winning the 2019 Tom Noble Team Race. Thank you to the RC team; Will Sunkler, Harry Sesselberg, Tom Pierson, and Evan Clayton for spending the day out on the water and keeping the races running.
All rounds were completed on Saturday allowing us to avoid the bad weather on Sunday.
