The 2019 Sharpe Team Race Trophy became a one day regatta after a snowstorm hit the area on Saturday. The breeze started out at 4-7 knots from the North with temps in the high 30's. Only two races were sailed in the Northerly before it dropped to nothing. After a long delay, a nice southerly breeze filled in around 12:30pm to complete one round robin for the 8 teams. By the end of racing the breeze was up to 10-12 knots. All races were sailed in FJs just off the Edgewood Yacht Club docks.
Thanks to Brown Assistant Coach Michael Zonnenberg for running the races with help from Bobby Savoie (Eckerd 2014) and many Brown sailors. Thanks as well to Frank Pizzo from Bowdoin for being the NEISA Representative. In the end, the Brown Bears won a three way tiebreaker over Bowdoin and Dartmouth to win the 2019 Sharpe Team Race Trophy with a 6-1 record.
