The drizzle stuck around for the entirety of the day paired with a pleasant 45 degree chill. “It looks like Maine!” became even more real as teams saw big tides causing current on the race course. W4s were run all day in 3 slightly different course location, just beyond Wyer Island. WSW breeze at 6-18 knots allowed the Bowdoin alumni race committee to complete 10 races in each division.
It takes an army to run such a large regatta. Thanks to Jack McGuire '17 and Mimi Paz '17 for running races, Harrison Hawk '18 and Louis Frumer '18 for serving as the tow boats. John Moulthrop, Tony Weiner, Emily Shanley-Roberts, and Alec Ruiz Ramon for serving as judges. The judges heard 2 protests which resulted in 1 disqualification. MMA and Harvard brought coach boats for the event along with the Safford Family. Sail Maine provided a coach boat as well.
Forecast is sunnier tomorrow. Bonus points to the teams that managed to leave without getting sucked in by the mud.
A slow start to a sunny Sunday. 11A and 11 B were completed in a light and volatile WSW breeze. After a short break on land, the sea breeze finally filled where three additional races were completed right before the 3 pm deadline. All courses were W-4s. The current made for challenging racing and course management.
Several forms were filled out but not protests, redress, or breakdowns were heard.
Thank you again to all the race committee, judges and Bowdoin undergrads who helped run a smooth event. Thanks to Greg Wilkinson for serving as the NEISA Rep.
Congrats to Yale, Bowdoin, Dartmouth, Boston University, Boston College, Brown, Tufts, Coast Guard, and Connecticut College who will move on to represent NEISA at The National Semi Finals in Newport, RI. It was all close racing but Yale remained solid all weekend with division wins in both A and B division.
We hope everyone has a great summer! Good luck to those sailors who have finished up their college sailing careers!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
