A spectacular sea breeze welcomed the sailors to the Wood Sailing Pavilion for the Bobby Berliner Midweek Firefly Regatta. Bobby was a very active sailor in his day and did a tremendous amount of volunteerism to make the Firefly Class in North America very successful. There were fleets everywhere and the Firefly was in the Olympics twice as a solo sailed boat with jib.
Racing started with nine boats and expanded to fourteen as the evening went on and more boats joined in the fun from the Northeastern practice. Charles Lindsay and Maaya Prasad won handily with very aggressive starting and hard hiking in the front of the boat. Julia Wyatt and Liz Obermeier challenged them but couldn't quite reel in the red boat.
Many thanks to David Alfonso, MIT assistant coach, and that barky Lucy Charles for helping out.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
