Competitors were met with extreme wind conditions today on the Potomac River. With low tide, sustained 25 kts, and gusts over 30 kts, racing was postponed until 2:30PM. The conditions tempered and 6 races were completed in a shifty westerly inside the Lagoon of the Washington Sailing Marina. Only one red flag was given by umpires, but many voluntary turns were taken by competitors under the new Appendix J - Fleet Race Umpiring.
A big thank you to Georgetown sailors Haddon Hughes ('19) and Olivia van den Born ('21) for running Race Committee today; the Umpire Team of Bill Simon, Nelson Pemberton, and Jim Walsh for volunteering their afternoon; George Washington sailors Ryan Janov ('22) and Taylor Milefchik ('22) for acting as Observers with the Umpire Team; and the George Washington University for lending their motorboats.
Congratulations to St. Mary's Joshua Paper ('20) and Genna Viggiano ('22) for winning the Arrigan Memorial Regatta (Sat)!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
