Sun and cool temperatures greeted sailors to Port Jefferson Yacht Club on Saturday morning. A light NNW prevailed through the early afternoon, causing a few postponements and a few race abandonments. A puffy SW wind gusting to 15knots filled in around 3pm and allowed sailors to stretch their legs for the remainder of the day. We finished racing at 5:30pm. 6 Races in total were completed. After a long day of racing, competitors were treated to food up in the club. It was agreed by the teams in attendance to end the regatta on Saturday because of the Easter holiday on Sunday.
Thank you to all of the teams who made the journey to compete this year and congratulations to SUNY Maritime for winning the 2018 Stony Brook Cup in convincing fashion! Thank you to Port Jefferson Yacht Club for the use of their facilities and to all of the members of the Stony Brook University Sailing Team who helped throughout the day.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
