Happy St Patrick Day! Connecticut College was excited to host the 2018 SNETR. We used 18 Fjs and 6 New Z420s. Thanks to all that helped. MIT, Harvard and Bowdoin rotated doing Finishes to help the event. We invite all those undergrads that helped to please consider themselves part of Camel Nation for the rest of the Weekend. Big Thank You to All of the Umpires including John Moulthrop for being the Chief Umpire. We had SW-NNW with about 3knts-22knts of Breeze. We completed 1 round robin and hope to do the same on Sunday. 930 Report Time with a 10am First Race
What a Great day to be sailing in Camel Nation! The RC pushed the limits of the Sailors, having them sail in very cold conditions. It was so cold, we broke a buoy. The Sailors had the right gear and a back up pair of gloves. Thank You to USCGA and Brian Swingly for loaning Conn 2 Rudders and 3 Umpire boats. Thank you to the Conn undergrads that took 90 minute shifts on the RC boat to keep the racing going. Thank you John Moulthrop for being the Chief Umpire and to Bryce Kopp, Peter Bailey, Bob Long, Kelsey Wheeler, Paula Grasberger and Tony Wiener for Umpiring. The Wind was 8-15 from the NNW-NW. We Sailed a second Round Robin. It was too Cold to Sail any tie-breakers. Thanks to all for the support it took everyone working together to complete Round 2. Congrats to the Harvard Crimson for Winning the 2018 SNETR.
