Day 1 started with clear skies and a glassy English Bay. There was no wind in the morning so the regatta started with the AP flag up until 11:15am. Wind predictions expected about 4-5kts around med-day, but the wind picked up to an average of 8-9kts from 1:00pm-2:00pm, and then 10-12kts from 2:00pm-4:00pm.
Day 2 was another gorgeous day in Vancouver with clear skies and sun! The competition started with a postponement at 10:45am but did not last long with the first race beginning around 11:30am. There was consistent wind averaging a steady 5kts from the southwest. The course started long and was shortened twice during A fleet's 5th and 6th races. The teams enjoyed the rare sun and breeze on and off the shore this beautiful weekend!
