What a great day to be Sailing in Camel Nation. The Breeze was from the NW @ 4-8 Knts until Noon. When the ground heated up the Race course got a Heavy Dose of Westerly Puffs. It was Slow going but the RC managed to get off 50 races. Highlight of the day was Harvard and Bowdoin getting to do 8 practice starts. Thanks you to John Storck for being the PRO and Alden Reid for moving marks all day. Big Thank You to John Moulthrop for organizing the Umpires. CGA supplied 6 umpire boats that made racing today easy to Umpire. Racing will resume on Sunday @ 9:45
Day 2 of the NE Team Race championship. The sailors arrived to a NW breeze at 8-10knts. First race on Sunday started at 10:08. We finished round 1 and moved quickly into Round 2. The wind was good until Noon and then the RC chased breeze forthe next few hours. John and Ian Storck did a great job getting races off. At the end of the round of 8, we had a 3 way tie for 4th. Conn, Harvard and Boston College. Congrats to the Eagels for beating the Camels and the Crimson head to head in the Sail off round. Congrats to Yale, Roger Williams, Dartmouth and BC for qualify for the LaserPerformance College Sailing Team Race National Championship as the NE representatives. Thank you all that helped this weekend . The umpires have changed our game for the positive and did a great job helping us fine the top 4 teams.
