The day started with warm temperatures, sunny skies and a terrific 8-13 knot Southwesterly breeze. The breeze gradually picked up as it shifted more to a more Westerly direction, topping out at 18 knots. Unfortunately some cloud cover came later in the afternoon that killed the great breeze, and it took a couple hours to complete races 4-6B in very light conditions with large wind shifts. At the end of the day 6 races were sailed in both divisions with 2 protests being filed heard, resulting in 1 DSQ while the other was disallowed due to improper procedure. Many thanks to both the New Orleans Yacht Club and Southern Yacht Club for allowing us to use their facilities. Also a big thank you to the Tulane Sailing Team for working to make the 2018 Nelson Roltsch a success.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
