On Saturday March 31st racing began promptly at the posted time. Temperatures hovering in the freezing digits, overcast skies, and winds between 15 and 20 knots out of the south. At approximately 11am a front rolled through the region bringing with it 30 knot breezes and heavy rain. At this time the PRO made a decision to call off racing for the rest of the day. We were able to successfully race 2 Division A races this day.
Racing was more favorable on Sunday April 1st. Racing began promptly at the posted time with no delays. Temperatures hovering above freezing in the 30s. Skies were clear and the sun was out. Winds were out of the north-west, clocking left throughout the day at approximately 15 knots of speed. The wind was steady throughout the racing time. Racing concluded around 1pm, with 3 full rotations being able to be completed for the regatta. No protests were filed for this regatta. Congratulations to the Minnesota Gofers on their win!
