The William and Mary 2017 Spring open began with temperatures in the upper fifties and low sixties, and light wind (2-4 knots) out of the south west, which declined throughout the day. Division A's first race began around 10:00 am, and we were only able to get through B Division's first race before a break was called at noon to wait for wind. After thirty minutes there was a light breeze, and we decided to send the boats out to try to finish B Division's rotation. The wind died again as soon as the boats left the dock, so we recalled them and wrapped up the day by 2:00 pm.
The day began with low temperatures in the upper thirties accompanied by some snow and rain for an hour or so. The wind was 10-15 knots gusting 20 knots throughout the day. The University of Virginia did not arrive. We began with Division B's second race around 10:00 am, and managed to run quite a few races. We ended relatively early due to the cold around 2:00 pm with Division B's sixth race.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
