Harpswell Sound provided exciting conditions for team racing. Current, large puffs and big shifts ensured that every race had exciting moments.
The polar bear race committee ran through 3 rounds with a quick lunch break after the first. A big thank you to Peter Edmunds '14 and Erin Mullins '16 who umpired the racing. All protests were decided on the water and there were a few flags flown.
Another beautiful day in Harpswell Sound. The first round was completed in a light and shifty westerly. After rotating on the water, the second round was attempted in the same conditions. Almost immediately after the start, a beautiful southerly seabreeze started filling in. Both races were abandoned and a new course was set.
Thanks again to Peter Edmunds '14 and Erin Mullins '16 who umpired the racing this weekend and to the current Bowdoin sailors who helped run races. Thank you to all the teams who made the trip to Brunswick. Congrats to Tufts on the win.
