Ten races completed in a NE breeze, sunny skies, initially 7 knots, but fading to 4 knots as the land heated to the mid-70's. One breakdown awarded. No protests.
Weak north-easterlies of 4-7 knots prevailed for the entire weekend, with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 70's. Fifteen races completed, ten on Saturday, and the remaining five on Sunday before the wind finally gave out at 1pm. All courses were W4's, averaging 17 minutes in length. Two breakdowns awarded, no protests filed.
Great to see so many teams making a commitment to travel, and a huge thank you to those schools. In order of distance traveled; Hawaii, U Washington, Hobart and William Smith, Salve Regina, Old Dominion, NC State, and College of Charleston, plus in-states teams Miami and Eckerd. Congratulations to the Charleston Cougars for a convincing victory.
