Sailors arrived to an all too typical day on the Chester River. Racing began at 10:00 in a very light and shifty breeze from the West. 5 races were completed before the wind dropped out completely. After a lunch break and a lengthy postponement, two more races were completed as the wind shifted to the Northwest. That too dropped out completely and racing ended at 3:30.
The Chester once again presented glassy conditions to the sailors on Sunday morning. The wind briefly filled at 11:00 from the Southwest, timed perfectly with a slack tide. Two races were started. Both were abandoned as the puff blew through and the river returned to glass. The regatta ended at 12:30 with no round robins completed.
Thank you to the WAC sailors for running a smooth regatta in tough conditions, and to all the teams for keeping light and fun dispositions despite the lack of wind.
