Competitors were on the water by 10:45 AM ready to race. The wind did not coorporate, dying out to 4 knots as racing was about to start. With 4 knots of current, racing was postponed until 11:30 AM, when the breeze picked up to 6-9 knots from the east and held throughout the rest of the day. 6 Races were completed in A fleet and B fleet sailed 4 races. Strong currents and steady wind made for fun racing throughout the day. No protests were filed.
Sailors reported at 10:00 AM for racing, but with wind gusting to 20 knots, racing was postponed. At 11:00, race committee concluded the regatta, as the wind was predicted to build throughout the day and only 1 committee boat was available for rescue. Competitors were able to head home early. Thank you to all competitors and volunteers for coming out and making the weekend enjoyable for all.
