Competitors arrived to a pleasant yet overcast day in Annapolis. After the competitors meeting, there was a light Southeasterly breeze in the river and the fleet left the dock. Unfortunately, the wind that was there died quickly and, after waiting for a bit on the water, everyone returned to shore. We waited around until 3:30 for the wind to fill and then the competitors were treated to a fantastic complimentary cookout hosted by the Naval Academy Sailing Squadron. The wind still didn't fill and racing was called for the day at 4 PM.
On Sunday, the water was glass again, so the fleet was postponed ashore in the morning. At around 1230, a light northeasterly breeze filled in and the RC, led by Juliet Thompson quickly set a course the Severn River. The cross river breeze was very shifty, but it built steadily throughout the afternoon. We were able to get 5 races off per division before the 3 PM cutoff. Congratulations to Yale for winning the 2016 Navy Spring Women's Regatta.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
