It was a beautiful day of racing on Eastchester Bay. Breeze was from the North and averaged around 5-10 with puffs as high as 15. Shifty conditions and cross course current made for some difficult racing. After 8 races in A and B, Connecticut College has a narrow lead in both divisions and is winning overall. A big thanks to Morris Yacht and Beach Club for their Hospitality and to Marco Tiexidor (Georgetown '10) for serving as PRO. Harbor start is at 9:30 tomorrow.
WPI was a no show
A thermal breeze filled in Eastchester Bay ranging from 3-7 from the north. Though there was no wind outside the bay for most of the day, the breeze held long enough to complete 4A and 4B races for a total of 12 races in each division. At around 2:00, the breeze shut off entirely and racing was called for the day. One protest was filed but was disallowed due to improper procedure. The home team Fordham Rams were able to edge out the victory over Connecticut College in the final B set. Congratulations to the Rams on their victory.
